Pre-registration for the FishNET LMS

Last night we briefly set out our FishNET strategy aimed at delivering fisheries enforcement support training across England from late-Spring 2025. The foundation element of this training will be delivered via an online LMS (Learning Management System) and will see seven modules covering:

1. An introduction to angling and the law
2. Environment Agency – Role in fisheries enforcement
3. The Theft Act 1968 and the Police role in enforcing this
4. Best practice for Club Bailiffs & Conflict resolution
5. Crime prevention advice for fishery owners and clubs
6. The Building Bridges Project and what it can do for you
7. Invasive Non-Native Species and what you can do to help to tackle these

The LMS will be available online and FREE for anglers, Club bailiffs and Committee members, Fishery owners and their employees as well as members of Governmental and Non-Governmental organisations, the Police service and our Voluntary Bailiff Service.

You will be able to access the LMS at anytime and anyplace and to complete modules as and when you want. Modules will comprise of blended learning with knowledge checks and micro-learning and each will take 20-30 minutes to complete. Online certificates will be provide after each module that can show what training has been completed.

Nearly 70 people have already pre-registered to receive information about the LMS when it goes live.

If you would like to be added to this list, please just email me and I will ensure that you get notified.
