I've seen this countless times where anglers using modern boxes with cassettes have multiple cassettes and trays for various venues and fishing types and switch their box configuration around to suit. I've often thought it a good idea if the trays weren't so expensive to buy.
As a rule my box is set up one way and it remains the same regardless of where I'm fishing.....
Directly under the seat - a side sliding drawer tray with all my bits and pieces in. Tools, such as disgorgers, scissors, forceps, shot, packet hooks, leger stops, plummets, etc.
Next tray down - pole floats/rigs to 0.19 line
Tray below that - pole floats/rigs to 0.17 line
Bottom tray - pole floats/rigs to 0.15/0.13 line on one side and leger weights and small feeders/selection of method feeders on the other side
In the cassette...
Under the lid which is a double height tray - hook boxes, feeder cups, catapults
Next tray down - spools of line, spare floats, bits and pieces
Bottom tray - tbh I can't remember but what's there must have a purpose, I'm sure 😀
It all seems to work well for me, how do you have yours?
