Hi all anyone fishing today .thinking of a spell on the maggot feeder today ,got some casters and maggots to use up. Think il just go light ,rods reels and chair .
See you on the Bank.

Soon Terry, soon but at the moment I’m not quite ready

I was over for few hours in the end managed 1x skimmer on cage feeder, maggot to island, about 15x rudd/roach on pole down reeds on maggot and 2x carp on method feeder, lost 1 as well. Water is freezing and so was today's conditions.

Should fish better from next week 😍

Well done Andy it’s never easy at this time of the year, that’s why I don’t really mind being under house arrest at the moment and should be ok as the weather picks up.
Is there anywhere online to find tips to fish both lakes? Or is it just down to trial and error and word of mouth asking members?

When it comes to these lakes it's usually down to listening to people who are fishing it but we have a mixed group of anglers who usually catch on any method. Feeder/Waggler/Pole. They key is to feed and to stick to 1 or 2 areas, weather it be method/cage feeder to the islands over pellet/maggot or waggler/pole 8/10/11mtrs out somewhere over spray of loose feed or groundbait. They always move in over time.

I never caught on my pole line until the last hour of feeding today but the silvers were there in the end.

Keep remembering this is a club water though and not commercial so investments are limited with the resources the club has.

We are expecting higher temperatures next week. We are also getting a special delivery on Monday, shhhhh. 😉

In a way I’m glad that for the moment I am laid up If I can help it I don’t do cold.
What pegs have you tried Terry?
I’ve only fished Stevensons once on peg 24 when the whole place was flooded.
I suppose when I get back to fishing after my op has settled down that I might have to fish one of the disabled pegs to start with.

Poor buggers I just been to the lake to have a walk around and I told them it was going to rain around 2.

It's hoying it down!

They will be soaked! I always check the weather before going out now. Can't stand the rain.

Walked the dogs there this morning, the usual ones on disable legs..they never gad anything..

The weather conditions 100% plays a part in how much (if at all) if the fish feed.

The colder it is the more dormant the fish become - it's like they become lazy and slow moving.

Wow I don’t need to ask I’m a good guesser does it have fins n things?
