As the title says, How do I join and pay at the end of March?
Will a separate page open ?
Do. I sign up and pay online?
Do I print out application form, fill it in and send it to someon?
Do I have to drive to Hetton and sign up in a shop/pub/club?

So confusing lol or am I making it difficult for myself?

Nope

It will be by bank transfer, instructions will follow on the website when you put the order in.

Nope no need for paper based any more unless you don't want to use digital services.

Do I have to drive to Hetton and sign up in a shop/pub/club?
Nope no need for paper based any more (you can do it the old way if you want though) but a receipt will be emailed to you when you fill in details.

You making it difficult for yourself. 🙂 You can either fill in the paper copy or digital copy. It's entirely up to you.

When I open it up online soon you basically go to the website https://hlac.co.uk/store and fill out the details online. If anyone gets stuck they can basically tell me the details and I will fill it out for them.

That’s brilliant news Andy, once again thanks for your help

Bring it on lol

I'm getting ready for a flood of anglers! We may need members to keep an eye out where possible to make sure things are alright on both lakes doesn't have to be every single day just basically while fishing or walking.

HLAC is a club, everyone needs to remember that.

If there is anything in doubt anyone can just ask the question and I'll clarify.

😊

Lines are down ,fished peg 24 yesterday had a few roach out on maggot feeder .also another person had 2 carp and a bream out .

Great stuff Terry, regardless of being able to join at the end of the month I don’t think I will be fishing for some time. At the moment I am like a caged tiger unable to get off the settee because I had a total ankle replacement operation 2 weeks ago on the 18th and at the moment got a pot on from thigh to toes. I get that off on Friday and stitches out but don’t know if another pot will be put on. So obviously can’t drive yet but heyho fingers crossed it won’t be long

They were took down Saturday, along with diverting a stream and peg replacements. Only April 1st to come now and everything will be back to normal. 👍 Fish delivery soon as well. Tench, Crucians and Carp.

Recovery first, then fish after. 🙂 There's plenty time to fish but no good if you can't walk properly. Nothing stopping you still joining though but make sure you recover before end of summer. 😛

Don’t worry Andy I will be joining at the first opportunity.
When I am able to fish again I will be fishing “light” and not bringing all my stuff and I will be fishing from one of the disabled pegs ( I have a blue badge as well).
My wife bless her has said she will drive me up give me a hand with my gear and then come back for me. So really looking forward to it

Don't need a blue badge to fish our disabled pegs there's plenty of them 🙂

3 weeks and 4 days from today until the memberships will open to the public on our web store online.

Anyone who hasn't joined yet and was a member in 2023 and wants to rejoin then I highly recommend you join as soon as possible.

The club will be monitoring both lakes closely to ensure they are not constantly over fished. If the memberships get too full there is still a small chance we may have too close the books for the year.

We monitored the lakes from 2022 every other week to test on how busy the lakes get. It's apparent that the lakes only got really busy on the bank holiday weekends. This may be different this year due the the books been open fully to the public. There's potential that it may be busy throughout the year.

I would like to also state that anyone fishing Lyons lake MUST fill in the online booking form before fishing this lake. Lyons lake is checked by Springboard and we must be transparent with them at all times. https://hlac.co.uk/bookings

Just a heads up.
