Hi everyone, one thing has been puzzling me for some time.
Why do some anglers prefer using dead maggots and how do you kill them?
Surely live maggots are better because of the wriggling

Just wondered

When people use dead maggots it's because they don't burry themselves into the ground. They sit there piled up so fish come along, munch on them. A lot of people use dead reds. Fish particularly don't go for moving bait in the winter and this is why a lot of people move over to deads.

You can put them in an air locked bag for about a couple of hours which will kill them.
